The Cleared for Takeoff Scholarship

 The Nashville Ninety-Nines offers a scholarship awarding the following:  2 hours of complex time,  the fee for an FAA written test, $250 used to further your education in aviation, and a one year “Performance Plus” ForeFlight Subscription.

About The Cleared For Takeoff Scholarship

The Nashville Ninety-Nines is offering a  scholarship that awards the following:

  1. Two hours of complex time instructed by CFI Jim Jones. Aircraft will be provided by him. The recipient and CFI will coordinate a time that works for both. 
  2. Up to $175 is to be applied toward any FAA written test.
  3. $250 to be used for schooling purposes in the aeronautical field. 
  4. A one year “Performance Plus” ForeFlight Subscription.

Eligibility

To be eligible, applicants must be:

  1. At least 18 years old.
  2. Current members of the International Ninety-Nines by the application deadline.
  3. Must be a Tennessee resident.
  4. Hold a private pilot certificate.

Application Deadline

The deadline for applications is May 1st, 2025 at 11:59 p.m CST.

Recipient will be announced on May 7th, 2025.

The Conboy Family Scholarship

 The Nashville Ninety-Nines, on behalf of the Conboy family, offer a $4,000 scholarship for female aviators in Tennessee. The Conboy Family Scholarship supports women with a strong passion for aviation, providing funds for flight training, applicable to any rating or certificate.

About The Conboy Family Scholarship

On behalf of the Conboy family, the Nashville Ninety-Nines are offering a $4,000 scholarship to assist a female aviator in Tennessee. The Conboy Family Scholarship is dedicated to those with an unwavering passion for aviation, aspiring to become skilled pilots fueled by dedication and a profound love for the skies. This scholarship honors the spirit of those who see flying as more than a job – it's a true calling.


This scholarship is to assist a woman towards their goals in aviation by providing $4,000 towards flight training. The money can be used towards any rating or certificate.

Eligibility

To be eligible, applicants must be:

  1. Female, at least 16 years old.
  2. Current members of the International Ninety-Nines by the application deadline.
  3. Tennessee residents.

Cornelia Fort Scholarship

The Nashville Ninety-Nines offer the Cornelia Fort Scholarship in honor of the pioneering aviator, Cornelia Clark Fort. This $1,000 scholarship supports women pursuing a career in aviation by providing funds for flight training, applicable to any rating or certificate.

About the Cornelia Fort Scholarship

The Nashville Chapter of the Ninety-Nines is offering the Cornelia Fort Scholarship to honor the Nashville native and first female fight instructor in the area. Cornelia Clark Fort was an aviator famously known for witnessing the bombing of Pearl Harbor during World War II while flight instructing, being the second member to be accepted into the Women’s Auxiliary Ferrying Squadron (the precursor to WASP), and being the first female pilot to give her life during her service for our country.


This scholarship is to assist a woman towards a career in the aviation field by providing $1,000 towards flight training. The money can be used towards any rating or certificate.

Written Test Scholarship

The Nashville Ninety-Nines offer the Written Test Scholarship, a $175 award supporting female pilots in pursuing their aviation goals by covering the cost of any FAA written test.

About the Written Test Scholarship

The Nashville Chapter of the Ninety-Nines is offering the Written Test Scholarship to support female pilots who are taking the steps forward in order to obtain their goals in aviation. The $175 award can be applied toward any FAA written test.
