Hi, I’m Casey Lawrence, Chairman of the Nashville Ninety-Nines! I’m currently a flight instructor at Drift Aviation at KXNX, where we specialize in tailwheel training (my favorite kind of flying)! I’ve truly enjoyed instructing and also hold multi-engine instructor, advanced ground instructor, and instrument ground instructor certificates. Before becoming Chairman in 2024, I served as our chapter's Director of Scholarships. I love seeing our members grow and achieve their aviation goals, and I’m grateful to be able to support and encourage them along the way — so never hesitate to reach out for anything Nashville Ninety-Nines related! When I’m not flying, you can usually find me out fishing with my husband, Wyatt, or chasing our three dogs around the house!

Aviation has always been part of my story — I grew up in an aviation and military family — but choosing to make it my own career later in life has been both humbling and empowering. I’m currently working toward my instructor ratings, with long-term goals of flying internationally (hopefully Asian routes). Stepping fully into this path midlife has required resilience, discipline, and the confidence to begin again. Outside of flying, I’m inspired by travel, photography, and a deep appreciation for Zen minimalism and living with intention. I’m drawn to quiet spaces, thoughtful design, and the belief that growth happens when we clear away the unnecessary. Balancing aviation with marriage, motherhood, and everyday life keeps me grounded and constantly learning. Whether I’m studying for a checkride, organizing a flight plan, or capturing moments through my lens, I’m always pursuing progress — both in the cockpit and at home.

I hold down a corporate job based in Chicago and fly as much as I can for fun and for two charities: Freedom Aviation Network and Angel Flight Soars. I love giving back to others in need by sharing my gift of flight. When not flying and working, I love traveling the world and getting in my Pure Barre workouts with my PB girlfriends!

Hi - I’m Alisa and I serve as Secretary for the Nashville Ninety-Nines. I hold a Private Pilot Certificate with an Instrument Rating and am working toward my Commercial Pilot Certificate. I love the freedom of flight and advocate for girls to explore aviation opportunities — something I didn’t realize was a possibility as a child playing with my Barbie jet. I always start my preflight checklist with matcha.

DIRECTOR OF MEMBERSHIPS

welcome@nashville99s.org

I grew up in the Chicago area and moved to Tennessee to attend MTSU. I graduated with a degree in aerospace, pro-pilot, and minored in Spanish. I just got my CFI (and am looking for teaching jobs if anyone is hiring). I’m hoping to expand my aviation knowledge as much as I possibly can. Outside of aviation, I enjoy crocheting, baking, and hiking.

I was introduced to aviation at a young age when my mother started skydiving in Tennessee. I took my first skydive when I was 13, and I instantly knew I wanted to work in aviation. I started working on my private in West Tennessee before moving to the Nashville area to attend Middle Tennessee State University and continue working in skydiving. After graduating, I became a CFI, CFII, and MEI before transitioning to my current position as a first officer at a regional airline. Outside of flying, I enjoy all things crafting, reading, hiking, and exploring all of the new places work takes me!
